Okay I admit it, I am the worlds worst gardener and i was wondering if any of my fellow mylotees could suggest some plants that are really hard to kill because i want to start a garden, it looks like a mess. Anything that is sturdy and tough and sorta independent but still pretty would be good, anything other than weeds, which I am an expert at allowing to thrive.

I am the same and got tired of replacing plants that die and with the water situation I wanted to put things in my garden that didn't need constant watering and someone suggested I use the same sort of plants that Councils in your area use for parks and gardens or even go visit the cemetries of today and see what they are planting to keep the graves looking nice so I did and now I have nice carpets of various daisies growing hopefully one day they will all join up and keep the weeds down and the beauty is they don't need much water....

Gday Megs, Yea i grow heaps of different succulents which are a type of plant with heaps of varieties that ya just can't kill!!! I've tried and they can survive any climate, need little water normally, have some great looking flowers. You can break or cut some of the plant off and replant to make more, so they make cheap gifts as well!!! Hope this helps somewhat . Cheers
