I read the book first and absolutely loved it! They didn't play up the fact that it was a book first and I came to that conclusion myself after seeing previews for it. I rented the movie last week and saw that they mentioned that it was a book first on the back in the description. What a good movie! It strayed slightly from the book but still stayed in pretty close detail. I think I cried the whole half of the movie. I didn't like the sister though, her acting style didn't fit in with the rest of the characters. I really liked it though and recommend it to others. I'll be buying this one to add to my collection.

I agree. It is a sad, strong and has lots of inspiring messages. I absolutely love this movie. It is amazing how someone would plan such a journey for their partner in life and still try to bring them happiness even though they are coping through such a sad loss. I think that it was well written, played out, and is a movie that is highly recommended by many viewers. I know I can watch it a million times and still feel the way I did the very first time that I watched it. It is a really good movie.
