How large is your flash disk?

Nowadays the flash disk keeps on developing. In the past 128MB was large, but nowadays 1GB flash disk is so common. Now my flash disk is 2GB. How about yours?

Yeah, I have to agree with you on this one. When I bought my 256MB it was so expensive. Then came the 1GB, then the 2GB. I'm still stuck with 2Gb although the 4GB & 8Gb is now very common. I might buy a 4GB 1 soon & pass mine to my wife. But she says she's not in need of it at the moment so, oh well...

True true, very cheap indeed. Technology just improves everyday. So I won't be really rushing to buy the pen drive yet since my wife says she's not really in need of it at the moment as tomorrow with the same price I might get to buy a bigger capacity drive, haha

Flask disks now are cheaper than those sold before. The first flash disk that I bought was so expensive then. I lost and and bought another one with the same capacity. I've found out that my first flash disk was four times more expensive than the new one. The flask disk I'm using right now can hold 512 mb of files. I'm planning to buy the one which can hold 8 gig. of memory later. Anyway, I'm satisfied with my current flash disk since it is seldom that I transfer big files between computers. Also, most of my files are stored on my laptop. I'll be giving my current flash disk to my sibling in college the time I buy a higher capacity flash disk.

Wow...I remember the days when 64MB was HUGE. That was my first flash drive. Now I have a 4GB, and it doesn't even hold everything I need it to! I'm going to have to get a new one soon! Oh, what a world! What a world!!!

I can understand why 4GB isn't enough for you. I have 40GB portable hard disk but it's not enough for me, too

My very first flash disk was 256 mb... and i was the envy of my friends then because they only have the 128mb... then when the 1gb became available... i bought one immediately so that i store a lot of files and images... but now that my work doesn't require me to use a flash disk... i did not bother to buy a new one... my husband is using both of my flash disks since he needs it to store files...

Hello youless!:-) Yes, they seem to get larger in storage size, smaller in real size and cheaper in price. In fact, I think this is true with all computer and electronics related stuff. They get better and smaller than previous models and the previous thing gets much cheaper than what it initially was. I remember when we bought our P1 with specification that were very good back then but are nothing now. It cost us around $800 back in 97 but now it isn't worth more than $50-60. I don't have a flash disk at the moment but I think I'll be having one, soon. I think 2GB is sufficiently enough, at least if one is not dealing with media excessively.

Hi Youless, my first flash drive(FD) was 128MB too, it was given to me by my visiting sister, now I have 2 1GB that contain my portable applications. I wonder what's coming up new because the prices of FD is rapidly getting cheaper. It won't take long I guest when FD sizes would be near Blue ray capacity.

I currently have a 1 Gb flash drive, which provides more than adequate storage for my needs. Nevertheless, I have been considering buying an 8 Gb drive due to the current low price of them. I certainly do not need such a drive, but I can never resist being greedy where my computer is concerned.

I have a few to rotate. The largest one I have is a 2GB. But with a card reader, I have a 8GB card that I sometimes use for data as well. Memory is getting cheaper as times go by. I remember getting my very first 1GB flash disk and the cost today can easily get a 8 or even 16 GB card.

still stick to my three old flash disks. 500MB, 1GB, and 2GB. I'm thinking of buying larger one, but probably would do it later, because three of them are still in good condition. :)

Usually I just borrowed my sister flash disk cause at that time flash disk was quite expensive even for 1 GB ones. But I am suprised when I go to a computer store and asked the price for a 2GB flash disk. The price was cheap now even for branded Flash disk. Only around $10 where as months ago my sister had to pay $15 for 1 GB flash disk. So I bought the 2 GB flash disk and now I used a 2 GB flash disk.

Maybe hard disk is more popular than flash disk. Because the hard disk is more small and light. And hard disk can be made much more larger than flash disk. So which one you would choose?

yes now a days a 2 gb is the min that you can have. it is so because the 2gb sticks are the min which they are selling now and there is hardly any difference in the proce of a 2gb and 1 gb flash drive.
