friendship over a relationship

Ok Theres this guy and he dated one of my close friends but they have been over for like ever he doesnt have feelings for her but she has feeling for him and you and him became really close and you started to fall for him do think its wrong? Would you choose the guy or the friend?

I have actually been in this situation before. I picked the guy. My friend was mad for awhile, but she came around. We are no longer together and my friend and I are no longer friends. It is partially because of the guy, but not totally.

I have never been in that situation, but it seems the thing to do would be to talk to your friend, let her know you are interested in the ex, and how does she feel about you dating him? I don't think it's wrong if their relationship has been over for a while, but I would have to consider my friend's feelings. If she is really still in love with him then I don't think I would feel comfortable dating him. There are plenty of other fish in the sea!
