family refused chemo for dying son

i know its an older sotry but we're seeing more it now. family's refusing chemo that could save a dying child. whats your take on this? if this was your child would you let them have chemo or would you refuse it? why?

maybe they dont want their child to suffer more because chemotherapy is painful plus the fact that it doesnt save the childs life, it just add to her/his remaining days to live.. so maybe they think, why add to her/his sufferings and just ended up dying?
