How should drunk drivers be punished?

What do you think is a fitting punishment for drunk driving? Should there be a difference in punishment for someone who caused an accident versus someone who was pulled over and caught? How about for a drunk driver who causes someone's death?

Sounds like a good, solid, permanent punishment. Thank you.

i think there should be a punishment. a fine with some jail time if you're just pulled over. if you cause an accident, more jail time and a heavier fine for all the damage, and if you kill someone you should be charged with manslaughter. i would never drink and drive or let anyone i know drink and drive.

I agree if they kill someone, it should be considered manslaughter. They choose to get behind the wheel drunk.

I agree with that! They should lose their "privilege" to drive.

depends on the severity of their accident, really.
if someone drove drunk and fell in a ditch hurting no one, i dont think they should be punished the same way if they crashed into a major outdoor festival and kill like 10 people with their car.
