I just experience which I talked about in another discussion yesterday.I thought it was just a little shake and nobody was hurt. But I was wrong .I watched the news yesterday. The terrible earthquake struck Wenchuan of Sichuan province in China at 2:28P.m,local time ,12th May. A spokesman for China's Earthquake Administration said it was a 7.8 magnitude quake. According the news thousands of lives were lost in this tragedy. We lost 58 lives in our Shanxi province. Sorry for my poor English.I tried to google"earthquake",to get more information in English.I don't know why,it just appear this everytime: Google Error Server Error The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds.

I have been following this story all day, and my heart bleeds for your people. Several thousand were killed and worse, many of them were school children. I can't imagine the agony of your people. You are all in my heart and in my prayers. I'm very grateful that you were spared and pray that you haven't lost any loved ones.

Thank you for caring. We both have faith that everything is OK.I live in Shanxi, the neighboring province of Sichuan which is the epicentre province of the quake.I only felt a little shake lasting for several minutes, still couldn't believe so many lives were lost!

I am glad to hear from you! It is good that you are ok. I guess that you do not live too far from the center, but far enough to not have too much damage! Maybe this is one good thing about your leaving school!

I guess that you are in a neighboring province! Please keep us informed! It is sad that so little could be done to prevent the deaths!

I am so pleased to see you are back with us again and I am moved by the appalling things we are seeing on television. The destruction of lives and the whole area is undescribable. I am now hearing of a further quake this morning in the same area and I fail to imagine what things are like there now. My thoughts go to all the people who lost family or homes and are maimed for the rest of their lives either phisically or emotionally. Keep in touch as often as you can and take care.

I am really really glad to read this discussion from you, I read the discussion you posted when it first happened and just before I read it, I had heard on the news that it had happened but they said that only four people had been hurt. Then I listened to the news at lunchtime and realised that things were a lot worse than I had thought and then I did not hear anymore discussions from you all day. I was a bit worried about you!! So I am really glad that you are ok!!
