When you pray, just do that, pray. Pray to God and tell God you are sending your prayers to that person you are praying for. That is what I do, I say this "God, I am sending my prayers to you for *the person you pray for*....and then just continue on. God will know what you are asking. Prayer works very well. Remember God works in mysterious ways, so watch for signs that indicate the answer to that prayer.

thank you for your response! i do pray quite often, and i talk to the lord like i would my closest friend because he is my bff for eternity, but it is he who has taught me about power prayering by praying the scriptures when i pray. check out my response to "unuzz, improving the prayer" discussion.

I pray in faith.
I trust his words that whatever we inquire from the lord do in Jesus name.I have asked and been asked for prayers,i always have the faith that whatever i ask of the lord he will answer, it may not be when or what i want but he answers just the same that's my faith.I basically talk to God just as i would talk to my parents only with greater reverence and respect.I'm never uncommfortable asking for anything because i have the faith in my heart to know that God provides all things no matter how great or small.

If someone asks me to pray for them, or someone they know, because that person or their family needs my prayers, I will simply ask God to keep watch over those people, and that "the best will happen," the best being whatever is God's Will.

Yes, I've had this happen many times over the years. What I do when I don't know exactly how or what to pray I simpley tell God that and ask Him to guide me - He knows the concerns of that person even when I don't.

I pray like I'm having a conversation with God. It's usually done before I go to bed. I ask for his healing hand upon them, to give them strength and courage, and so on. I just pray what I feel in my heart. Throughout the day I might have a quiet word for those who have asked for prayer or friends and family going through hard times.

When I pray whether for myself or for others I pray as if I am having a conversation with a friend because God truly is. I will chat in general about things and ask him to give strength and clarity and resolve to the person I am praying about. I feel it is not my place to ask specifics but will mention if they have asked me to. I also than Him i advance for making this possible and for doing His will. God bless. Ellie :D

I use to have more trouble but now not so much. I have a wonderful prayer book full of prayers written by women. These prayers come from woman who lived long ago and to the present. They are of all different faiths as well, it suites me. When ever I need to pray I just pull out that book. I pray on average about 3 times week with some very good friends of mine, or on my own as well if need be. I have a lot of faith in God's power to hear our prayers, the book is just a wonderful tool to help me on my way.
