If you are good with a DVD player, and your children love watching movies, and enjoy trivia. Disney's Scene It game, and karokee machines. Nothing keep my family of all age ranges more busy then those to games... If you can tolerate giggles, singing, and noisy fun for hours :) . Those are what I recommend. - DNatureofDTrain

Mine all want video or DVD's, clothes are big but then they are all girls. Don't your children talk about the things they want? Make lists or write to Santa? I usually have no problem as they are all pretty verbal about the things they like, want, think they need plus the things that I know they like. It's hard to give ideas as I don't know what your children's interest are... nor what you allow.

What a great question. This will be my son's FIRST Christmas! :) I still have no idea what we'll be getting him. But I bet that he'll enjoy tearing up the paper and opening the boxes more than the present itself! :) LOL Or maybe he'll want to play with the box more.
Any ideas on what I should get my son? He'll be almost a year old by the time Christmas rolls around.

First christmas that is so fun. there are so many nice things for little ones these days. things that make sounds and do all sorts. kids are so luck these days. You should get a nice bulb for the tree for you and him to remember his first christmas. they have really nice ones now. I had one that lit up and turned for my sons first christmas 13 yrs ago.

HHmmm. I have to teenage boys & all they talk about are the latest video games that are coming out for christmas lol.
I do have a suggestion for the little girl, that is if she likes to write. Go and buy a plain journal, cover it in scrapbook paper (something that she would really like) & you can even use beads on it like I did. Then that way she has something homemade from mom that is just for her only. You could even write something special on the inside cover for her to cherish for the rest of her life.

that is an awesome and well thought idea. my girls both like to have books that they doodle in and just write things. not so much a diary but just a fun book to write about what makes them happy

I have no kids, im 19 myself! But if I were a kid I would love to have my parents give me...well...anything! I'm really the kind of person who believes that its the thought that counts, and not the present itself. I'd be happy to be remembered during the hols!

oversized stuffed toys are great. even my oldest likes them for wrestling with cause he's not allowed to wrestle with the girls. Betty crocker ovens have been a hit for more than 25 years and i think they are still going strong. hope your daughter enjoys her christmas
