Shoes and how we choose them... style or comfort?, price, place we get them

I tend to purchase one pair of comfortable shoes at Payless Shoes Store and then wear it into the ground... I replace it only when it gets to start looking very, very old and tired. My most recent pair of shoes is a pair of black slip ons, very comfortable, purchased for about $17. It replaced a pair of slip resistant shoes which all the people I know said were starting to look horrible... grins.
Some of my friends like to purchase shoes that look nice. They will suffer for beauty, they say. They cannot sometimes understand why I like to wear my old shoes...
What do you look for in a shoe?
Do you go for comfort?
Do you go for style?
Which is more important to you?
Do you look at other people's shoes much?
Do you judge people lesser if they are wearing comfortable but not stylish shoes?
Where do you get your shoes and how much are you willing to pay for them?

I try to pick comfortable shoes that will not wear out too fast. It is better, of course, if they are also nice looking. Right now, my favourite pair of shoes is a pair of Sketchers.

Yeah, me, too. I always try to pick out comfortable sneakers/shoes. I will try to pick out special footware with special soles that will fight off discomforts and odors. I am trying to choose ones that will last long.

i love shoes and due to bad knees, i have to be very careful about the height of the shoe and also due to not a lot of money, i have to be careful about price. i have been quite fortunate because i have picked up several pairs of summer shoes for no more than $5- each!

Dear friend,
I do check all of them and lastly I would look for the price whether this is worthy and if the price is reasonable compared to its quality. Hence other important part is comfortable as I have to use it more often. Anyhow I would never go for any collection of shoes or go for any very costly shoes I do like the present style shoes which is comfortable with reasonable price moreover if there are many other varieties or options definetly I will not stick for any particular type. Also I change my shoes as the occassions I go.

I admit, I'm a shoe addict. I tend to go for style, then slip into comfy shoes when I get home. LOL I tend to frequent shoe stores like Famous Footwear, the shoes are name brand and high quality, but at a discounted rate. LOL. I usually pay between 30 and 40 dollars for a pair of shoes.

I go for comfort. maximum comfort. Then it is a bonus if they look good. But comfort over beauty.
I hardly ever look at other peoples shoes. But i did notice my mans shoes yesterdays. I wonder how someone can make their shoes looks so worn and torn in just 2 months. I do not judge people by the looks of their shoes, but sometimes - like yesterday with my man - I think they could sure take the time to polish their shoes once in a while.
I bought new shoes yetserday. Ecco sandals. They looked nice actually and felt good. I am going on a holiday and want to feel comfy. They were about 150 dollars. A lot, but all shoes here are quite pricy. It is hard to get good shoes for less than 80-100 dollars. Except slipons and sandals for the beach.

My goodness... I could not afford shoes if they were that costly here... I will not complain any longer about our high priced shoes. I am hoping that yours last you for many years at that price. Thanks for posting.

I used to look for comfort and style but alsas Iam
now doomed to wear orthopedic yucky looking shoes
as I tore a tendon in my left foot and it was not
properly treated until it was too late to do anythingbut
put me in ortho pedic clodhoppers with a brace on
my left foot. Icomplained about the ugliness of them
and the orthopedist just said but at least you can walk
give me a break. why not good looking custom made shoes, eh?

hey there,
i dont buy shoes a lot. when i buy shoes i go for comfort, quality, price and style. sometimes i find shoes that has all 4 qualities rolled into 1 on a sale so why not buy it. but there are times that i find shoes that has a nice style with good quality and comfy but are a little bit higher than what i normally pay for in shoes so i would walk around more and see if i could find a sort of similar looking shoe with lower price. hehehe.. if i cant find one and i cant get it off of my head i buy it but dont wear it all the time, just on special occassions. hehe

always comfort for me. no heels and nothing with buckles of any kind. i shop at pay less or walmart as we do not have alot of money for such things and i look for sales. i tend to wear sneakers almost everyday and a very comfortable pair of sandals in the summer so i do not buy alot of different shoes.

It depends on what kind of shoe!
If it's a pair of sneakers, I usually go for comfort + price or the best possible combination available. I'm on a limited budget so as much as I like to buy the next pair of branded shoes, I can't so I make do with what I have.
For heels or sandals, I opt for looks followed closely by price and again the best possible combination. Comfort for heels are almost non-existent, if you know what I mean! XD
No, I don't judge people for wearing comfortable but non-stylish shoes. I do cast a funny look if I see people with shoes that are about to fall apart at the next step!
When I was in Malaysia, I get my shoes from Nose, and Vincci followed by whatever brands carried by the big stores.
In Switzerland, I stick to Vogele Shoes for my boots and a local sports store for bargains and sneakers. I have yet to purchase sandals here because I know I can get them for way cheaper in Malaysia (I also shipped some of mine over with my other stuff) and well, I just don't think the ones here look nice.
The price I paid for them? Minimum RM49 (divide by 3.5 for USD currency) and max RM69. The only exceptions were shoes for my wedding which nearly costs RM100.

I am pleased to see someone else buys their comfy shoes at Payless. Granted, I worked there for three years, but I really have had almost all positive experiences there. I buy slightly more expensive shoes some of the time - for special occasions, but I refuse to buy any more shoes I won't wear. I have enough of those!

Foe me it's mostly style and comfort. I like nice shoes that will look good with my suits. I get new ones every two years unless I need them sooner than that. I usualy just find the color I need and see which style look best on me and those are the ones I get. I aslo like them to be comfortable since I wear them so many hours in one day.

I like comfortable shoes with nice style
Sometimes I would choose expensive ones if I real like them.
But I like cheap ones, too. As you can see ,as a girl, many nice shoes are necessary.I will buy many them to match my clothes. But I do not have so much money . So I need some cheap .

The first facts that i choose to buy shoes is comfort, but style is also important.I will not buy shoes so expensive.I don't have so much money to buy expensive shoes. Now i only a student and can't earn money by myself,i will not waste my money to by the high price shoes.I think when i get into society and have the ability to earn money,i will buy better shoes but not so expensive, just the mezzo price.
I like doing spors. It is easy for my shoes to be broken.so the quality and comfortalbe are the first facts for me to pay attention.but to be frank,as a girl i don't like to wear old-style shoes.

Well, what I would do is to me that I get myself comfortable sneakers; proper footware. The ones that will make my feet feel real comfortable. I would love to have special soles that will ease discomfort and odors. I will always check with my doctor to find out what special footware I should have. I would choose the ones that will last long.
