I agree with you about Twitter, it's better when you have friends and they update a lot. I only have a couple of friends that update all that often. I use it to promote my blogs and other writings and sites that I make money off of. I generally only like to follow people I know really well. I've found some really interesting people, but if I don't know them or they don't know me, it's really not all that fun to follow them.
