Maybe it is true, how about the fathers intelligence. My mother did not pursue her education and I would say shes an average women, however, 4 of my brothers and sisters are intelligent, thats out of the 7 brothers and sisters in the family. Can we equate that to the said findings.

I really can't answer your question because I have never thought about it before and I have no idea. I have never seen studies, but I just want to say that Reader's Digest is not a reliable source for scientific information. I'm not saying nothing they say is true, but not all of it is. You'd be surprised. It's not like it's a scientific journal or anything.
