We are trying to figure out where to go this year. We have three kids. So we want to go someplace where ther is a lot of things for them to do. We have already done the whole Disney World thing, and we have got to Washington, DC. and to the Wisconsin Dells.
Any other kid friendly destinations would be appreciated?
Thanks

Do you have any kind of children's museums around? My kids always loved the different activities they have. We went to the one in Indianapolis one time and still didn't get to see everything..Then in Columbus, Ohio they have COSI, which is even better, for both kids and adults..

You went to COSI with your girls Scout troop? So did I, that is how I knew about it..I loved staying overnight there and enjoying all the different activities..You said it hasn't changed, so I wondered have you been to the old one or just the new one? We went to the old one and the last year we went it was at the new one where we ended up not sleeping at COSI, but was bused to this other building..

Surprisingly we have never been to the one in Indiana, I have heard it is a good one, and is only 4 hours away. I lived in Columbus until I was 12 so I am well aquanted with COSI, we used to have a sleep over there every year when I was in Girl Scouts. We took the kids there while we were visiting family a few years ago. Surprisingly it has not changed all that much since I was a kid. Did you ever go the other museum whose name is escaping me, but it has the 18 century village right next to it. It is not that big, but I used to love that place as a kid. A lot of my cousins kids are getting to the age where they are getting married, so we will take the kids to the Indiana one next time we head to Columbus for a visit.

In Valdosta Georgia there is a place called Wild Adventures very kid friendly and a fun place to go for adults as well. They always have concerts there and It is owned by Dolly Pardon. Lots of bands go to play there and all people you hear on the radio so its not no name bands. Go check it out on the web and see for yourself. Best of luck to you.

You could try going to Canada. I think it would be lovely for you to fly to Halifax where you could spend some time along the pretty Nova Scotia coastline. You could take a boat trip out to see any wildlife. It would be superb for you to do a nature trail in the national park. Then you could hop on a train to Moncton before getting the link over to Prince Edward Island. There you could climb to the top of a lighthouse, have a picnic on a beach, see where the Anne of Green Gables books were written and wander through the forest. Lastly you could see the Niagara Falls and do some fun activities there. Canada is interesting and child friendly. I hope that where ever you chose you and your children will have a wonderful vacation.

There is plenty of kid friendly destinations in Texas, actually too many to list, but you can request a Texas Travel guide that will give you plenty of options. Pennsylvania, moved here 3 years ago and there is plenty to see and do, Hershey park for one, it's great, Gettysburg, if you are looking for a piece of history and other activities. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area is great and has plenty of kid friendly activities, theme parks, large and small. If you like the beach, Virginia Beach is a great area, and plenty for the kids to do.

My hubby and I were trying to figure this out ourselves.
This summer we're headed for the beach. I was a bit nervous about it since my daughter will be less than a year old but we usually don't go during the prime sunshine times anyways - the beaches are too crowded then! We're also planning on staying in a cabin while we're down there because we LOVE camping. We are die hard campers so it is not for everyone, especially with little ones like mine, but we have so much fun going hiking and having fires and going fishing. We usually prefer our tent but since we're staying in various places each night the cabin seemed like the best bet!
Water parks can be fun with kids, so are other things like the zoo and museums which you can usually find in any city. You could also go visit the great lakes or niagra falls - my son loved it when we took him there.

Hi, If you like sailing then, you have to try a house boat vacation.. I've tried that in France with my 2 kids .. we really had lots of fun. you don't have to be a real good sailor, and there is no risk at all. you can also go with other friends, some boats takes up to 10 people. It's really worth the money and it's original Maybe you sould check this link:
