The only mention of a wife for one of the disciples would be the mention of Peter's mother-in-law, which would indicate that he was married. We don't know his wife's name or anything else about her. From that we could conclude that there was no objection to them having wives, despite Paul's remarks about remaining celibate. The absence of any mention could be that either they were not very visible or that they lived in a culture where wives were not recognized very often. We know that some women were mentioned, so we know it has nothing to do with bias against women. Most likely they just not at the forefront of the activity.

I believe marriage is very important when thinking about religion. Christ and His church are often compared to a husband and wife. Husband and wife are called to become one. Children are referred to a gift, blessing and inheritance from the Lord. Those in position of leadership are said to be judged by how they relate to and treat their families. I'd say that family is very important in the eyes of God.
