I would love to see my family and a few close friends while talking. In that case I do not have to put up anything, I can just be myself and nothing can be compared with a little smile, giggle and winking from the little ones. I would be thrilled!
But otherwise I would rather not have it. It would again give me a feeling of encroachment in my privacy.

I think my choice would be a simple phone rather than a video phone. So far this facility is not available on my phone, but even if it starts, I would be hesistant to opt for it. If it is a video phone and I take a call, the other fellow would be able to see me in my Home dress......and he/she may invade my privacy somehow (which remain intact on the the simple land line of mobile phone) and he/she may scan my gestures and moments, which I may not like him/her to observe and vice versa.........LOL!
What would you prefer?

I would rather not do either one actually. I am not much of a talker. I can write many things into words though. I have never really liked to talk on the telephone. I think I used to like to talk to my boyfriend the most when I was younger though, over the telephone. I could talk to him for hours but I knew mom wouldn't let me. I hardly got to see him is why I liked to talk to him on the phone though.

It really depends. Not all the people who knows my number has 3G phones or video phone for that matter. Moreover, most of my friends are not as comfortable using video phones. It also depends on where I am and what I am currently doing. I would appreciate it if my privacy is respected. I do have friends who request that we talk over a video phone and so oftentimes, those are the instances that I would use one.

i rarely use the telephone. in fact, my friends dont call through the telephone anymore because they know im not the one whose gonna answer it. haha... and besides family and friends can reach me through my cell. so if i have to choose between a telephone or a video phone, i would pick the telephone. why? because its the 'basic necessity' for a home. you can dial someone and talk to them as long as you need to. with video phones i feel that its just an added feature to make the telephone look new or re-invneted or somthing of that sort, but its still the same thing. and i dont know how telephone companies work but, we also have to think of costs. will the phone company charge extra fees for doing a video conversation? plus, if a person has a video phone and the person he wants to call doesnt have one there is no use for the video which makes it useless half the time a person would use it. even today with the rising use of the telephone people are starting to terminate their telephone lines because cellphones are their modes of communication already.

I'd love to. Unfortunately, that's way too expensive here in our country. And that's more nicer if the one your talkin to is residing far from yours.
