This one is a very vague question... I'm not a biologist, but mathematicians have quite a bit of practice with explicitly stating definitions. The purpose of a good definition is to help provide a proper framework for discussion of relevant topics. In this case Biology is the study of life. Therefore if biologists want to study viruses, then it would be useful for them to define viruses as a form of life.
Life is a complex multilevel phenomenon that is so diverse in its manifestations that a short and exhaustive definition of life is hardly possible. The high complexity of life, as well as a poor understanding of what life is in essence, are the obstacles to the elaboration of a definition.

Life is beautiful and mysterious full of curiosity, much love, dedication and commitments. Also quite challenging and very educational, life is so precious we only have one so making the most of everything, succeeding, living life to the fullest learning by mistakes, love, and helping others is very important to me!

Life is difficult, living is never easy, but I always find a way through the bad times and grow stronger. I enjoy the challenges in life.
Everything that has happened in my life has made me who I am now and where I am now and I find that exciting.
I will always be in love with life.
