It can be either, I personally don't believe you have to be a certain age before you can experience love. I have pleanty of friends who are aged 18 - 21 who have been with their partner for years and years and they have no doubt in their minds that they're in love. At the other end of the spectrum you have the students who flit from partner to partner in a short timescale, it goes without saying that these students are just experiencing infatuation, not love.
