It seems a little commercialised - fun charity work, but it does work! Because we enjoy doing it and money is still raised from people in need. What do you think? Oxfam is great for innovation - they do the gifts unwrapped, where you can buy donations as presents for your friends and family (instead of getting them something they'll never use!). Also you can help out at music festivals around the UK which raises money from Oxfam because the festivals pay them - and we get a free festival from it!
How ethical do you think this is?

Does the money still go the organization's programs? If yes, then it is ethical.
Do you do the work you agreed to do or do you just hang out and enjoy the festival? If the former, then yes it is ethical.
There is nothing wrong with having fun while doing good.
I bought the Oxfam donations for presents for my family at Christmas, in addition to the usual gifts. They loved the Oxfam donations. Everyone remarked on it. So, it was a better present than the usual.

yeah I did to. And yes the money goes to all the normal oxfam good deeds, and we have to do three 8-hour shifts where you have to do the duties given to you - so no faffing around. So you think it's ethical. I definitely think so, and I think its worth doing. It appeals to us youngsters which is good.
