Current Taxes On 1 Gallon Of Diesel Fuel

Here is an example of what the federal government is getting from 1 gallon of diesel sold. 42 cents and that is not even looking at gas being taxed yet. You see why the government is never going to ever allow the need for fuel by the oil companies even to be removed from the system itself? They depend on that tax to fund all their so called government programs and projects plus their salary I am sure of. I am really thinking that no matter who you vote for, the chances of seeing any renewable energy ever being seriously looked at on a global scale. Definitely not here in the USA and that is just a reality we all must face.
