Many people say that it is easier to train a girl then a boy. Well, as most of our "experts" don't even have kids, which would you say is easier a boy or a girl?

I have both. Girls are easier, because you sit them down and wait that it comes out. Both goes straight down. With boys the pee can go, well, anywhere, even if they sit on a potty with a shield in the respective area. You can't just train them from the get-go to stand and pee in the potty either, lol. Pottytraining our boy was definitely messier. Although being our third, he was at the end fully trained earlier than his two older sisters. He is still not tall enough (just turned two) and needs to stand on something, which makes it difficult to use a public restroom as we have to lift him up. If he would sit on the toilet, he has to kind of hang in there or it will go over the seat or through between the seat and the toilet rim (there is a gap there, lol). He now has discovered that he can aim it anywhere and with the playing around, again, it can get messy. So, I would definitely say, a girl is easier potty train!

I forgot to add. We have a little insert for our regular toilet seat for the little ones to sit on. That worked wonderful for the girls to move them to the regular toilet. They couldn't fall in. With our boy, either the pee or the poop didn't make it in. And he was too little to tell the difference of what he needed to bring to the potty at the time. So we had to at first really balance it kind of hanging in there until he figured out what is what and learned to pee standing up.

None of my children are potty trained, but we're trying. My son who is three is starting to get the hang of the whole thing, but still will not poop on the toilet (to my disappointment). My daughter who is 20 months old will poop, but not pee on the potty. From what I've seen in my family - she'll be a whole lot easier!

I have two boys and a girl. My girl was way easier to potty train. I believe its because she is the same as mommy and has to sit down. Boys are harder, My two year old is a boy and we are in the process of potty training. We have got the number one down fairly good. But going number two is taking us awhile. I believe its harder because its usually the mommy that does most of the teaching and kids learn by mimicking. just my opinion.
