What is your take on Calloidal silver?

I personally don't use it, but I have family members who do. Two Christmas' ago, I was at a family get together with my fathers family. A bunch of my older siblings were raving about it. One of them, for a gift, gave me a book about it and how to make it. I am a bit too scared to jump into making something like that. (science was not my strong suit in school haha) They all swear by it.. They swear it cures like everything and that medical businesses don't want people to know about it and stuff. I am 25 and I guess I don't feel the need to use it as they do. If it works for people cool, I just don't use it.
