I have your notification turned on, which means I'm notified of any discussion that you start. And I really would respond if I had something to say that would help. Perhaps people don't respond because they don't know the answers? Try posting it in another topic area! For instance, instead of someone posting a computer question in "Life", they should post it in "computers".
The notify service doesn't tell me which category you chose to post your discussions in so I don't know where you're posting them. But I did see that you posted something in "love" that probably would've gotten more responses in "relationships", where older more experienced people probably hang out.
Don't give up! Look over the categories carefully before you decide which one to post in. And realize that sometimes people won't have had experience in what you're going through or they just don't know what to say.

hon, I will respond, I have just been busy for 5 days, doing some business and I did not have time to come on mylot at all. Not everyone will want to respond to personal problems, remember people are here for different reasons, and some people like me love to help out if we can.

This would depend on what my serious problems were and whether I thought that anyone could help me. Sometimes you will find that people may not respond to a problem that is serious simply because they may not have an answer, or they may not have been through anything similar.
Sometimes I find that I cannot answer a serious problem because I just do not know what to say, and it is easier not to say anything than to say something totally meaningless.

I would have to disagree with you on that dex. Though some serious discussions don't get a lot of response, the same goes for some that aren't so serious as well. There are several things I have found that can make a difference. One is choosing the correct category for the discussion. Another is the tags you place on the discussion. And finally, the title by which you call your discussion. The title is your first chance to get peoples attention and I am sure with many it is your only chance. If the title doesn't attract them, they will never check to see what the discussion contains. With the exception of those on my friends list in which case I try to respond to every discussion they start, I choose most others strictly by the title.
