Hey, There's a lot of tips regarding when the catch, where to catch and what to use at drop- offs etc, but I'm specifically looking for some hints to fishing the specially grassy area's in bigger dams. I usually stick with plastics, tiki monkey etc, but I don't get as many bites as I use to. Any help?

Hey there. I live in South Florida and love to fish for bass. I have alot of success with the STORM brand of lures. They have many styles; from minnows to chads to lizards and so on. The minnows is what I use the most. They are weighed down so I can cast them far. The only issue is that they are not weedless so grass beds can cause a problem. But I do get ALOT of strikes, specifically with peacock bass which are abundant here. Check out a post I made "caught my first fish on my fishing raft". I posted a picture of a peacock bass in case you are not familiar with them. GOOD LUCK.

I also seem to have a soft spot for minnnows but seem to be having more success with spinners these days, which I seldom used before. I'll look at that post because I am completely unfamiliar with peacock bass.

I would love to help you and I can only give you moral support. I hope there is someone more conversant with this topic than I. I only have a morale booster but no technical expertise on this matter. Good luck!!!
