My daughter is graduating from high school and I'm having a party for her to celebrate. The party is for our family and friends to attend. The school is having a separate graduation party/dance for the graduates. I'm looking for some unique ideas for the party to honor her accomplishments as well as remember her growing up years. Do you have some great ideas you can share with me?

hey sug!!
well congratulations to your daughter on her accomplishment - no wonder you are so proud of her!
first i reckon i would dig out all the old baby pics and have them enlarged and put them all over the house, make a film (if you can) of her growing up and play it when the guests are there, dig out her favourite music and play that too.. you could do the same with the food side of things, make all her favourite foods over the years and serve them..everything from jello to steak or whatever is her favourite so its kinda like a party for a little girl growing up into a woman. I think that would be neat and she would love it!!
Let me know what you do in the end! (((hugs))

Hey MM, thanks so much for chiming in with your great ideas! Working on a menu now! You're a doll. You always have such good ideas especially for family events. I wish we didn't live so far apart. I think you would be like the sister I never had!

Freak-out time! It's this Saturday! I do pretty much have things ready. I'm just focusing the next couple of days on the special touches. I've been scanning pictures and making a slide show. My sister-in-law did that for her parent's anniversary and used Alan Jackson's song "Remember When" as the background music. It was beautiful. I'm trying to come up with background music for Katie's slide show. So far I'm drawing a blank! Any ideas?

You could make a display case and have some of her early childhood pictures out plus some of her grade cards and school year books...Use any art pictures she made for you growing up...Use anything you can from her school years to help her remeber what all she has been through...It is so nice that you are giving her such a nice party...

Thank you Breath! I hadn't even thought of using her artwork from school. That is an awesome idea!
