A man who makes decisons on his own has no leader, He may have an authority he takes orders from, but when the orders contradict is integraty or is moral compass he will not follow the orders of any superior. The man who can not make decisions for himself has many leaders, for he will follow anyone who says follow. The leader is the man who says I know what I beleive, and has evadent self confadence and says to everyone else follow me, and they do.

We all admire leaders who are decisive in times of crisis. We all like leaders who are capable and appear strong. HOwever, a real leader is one who ensures that the people who follow him are able to carry on and become even stronger when he or she leaves the organisation.

There is a bit to-do about leading and leaders. I think that there are leaders who come to the fore at certain times and fade away at other times.Winston Churchill was such a leader. A wannabe who could not do a good job of anything at one time, he rose to become the best leader to oppose Hitler during the Second World War. After that shining moment, when victory was won over the marauding Germans, he could not get reelected.
