Well, first of all I should say that I am a Filipina and that divorce is not legal in my country. But for me, this should be legalized because I myself have parents who were already separated. If your parents appeared to be not happy being married with each other, they should get a divorce. Because what's the use of staying together if both of you hated each other, right? If they stay married, lot of problems and issues will arise. For me it's better to have separated parents who stayed friends & civil with each other inspite of the separation than having an intact family with your mother & father always nagging each other.
