I called, they require you to call in, and find out about jobs available. Ok, so this morning I got up and decided to do this job-a-thon thing. In the paper they had something about calling in and finding a job. Well I did, and I got reffered to a daycare center. I was told that at that daycare center, they needed a receptionist. Me typing up to 75wpm went for it. Well it turned out that, that daycare had NO RECEPTIONIST JOB! In fact they never even heard of this job-a-thon! To think this job-a-thon crap was in the paper! I was told, they need drivers, well I don't drive! Not yet anyway.
I was so upset, I mean here I was reffered to a place that didn't have a clue as to why I was even reffered to them, who did not even have the job that I was told it had. I felt this was a huge waste of my day.

Did you contact the paper to ask them why they posted fake job referals? It would be interesting to find out what they had to say.

No, I don't think you understood what I wrote. The job-a-thon was by phone. They don't list the jobs in the paper for this thing. I am going to write to the paper about this, because to me it was useless.

Ah, thanks for the correction. It would still be interesting to hear how they defend themselves here.

I can see where you would feel that way. that was really
a lost cause. They do not seem to have their act together
at all. Somebody certainly goofed on that. andto send you
out for a job that wasnt even there and they had not a clue
about it. that really stinks. I wonder how many other
people were caught up in this mess. hope you find what
you are looking for soon. cheers.
