i have had some problems getting my 16 yr old to listen and to do things when he is asked to. the doctor and i recently decided to take him off his meds because they were seeming to make him worse then better. plus he wants to join the military when he is 18. do you think i did the right thing and what else can i do to communicate with him. he doesnt seem to want to listen to what i or anyone has to say. he thinks he knows it all and can own the world someday. every time i go to discuss this with him he gets mad. help me figure out what to do please.

All I can say so for you my dear friend is that the Key for establishing a continuous working relationship with your very own son is that you must learn the virtue of patience. I guess because I am not expert in these kind of stuffs, that you must always consider your son on the things that he wanted to avoid drastic changes in his moods. Also you must not spoiled him as well, by the way is this disorder all about drastic changes in one individual's mood? I must say and share to you that we have tackled these subject in my lessons previously and I must admit that I have been suffering as well from a mild form because if I don't get what I want I would suddenly have a sudden change in my mood and also when things don't work out as I have planned them. That is all I can say for now, have a great time always. ^_^
