Gas Guzzler of a Car

I have a small Saturn and if I spend $20 in gas, it fills up ONLY halfway. I can only imagine how much people spend on gas with these SUVs and trucks. I want my next car to be a hybrid. Is anyone out there thinking about changing their cars or trucks for a more fuel efficient vehicle? I also want to know what kind of vehicle you drive and how much you spend just to fill it half-way up.

My saturn gets 30 miles to the gallon. It doesn't matter how much it takes to fill it up. I could replace the fuel can in a Hummer with a milk jug, and it would only cost around $4 to fill up, but it still isn't fuel efficient, is it? A car can be fuel efficient and still hold quite a few gallons of oil, which means that it takes more to fill up. Dan

I'd love to change my car to a hybrid but i dont think i could afford payments right now. My car is a neon and it takes $30 right now to fill it from just above 3/4 empty. About a year ago that mark was around $22 to fill it up. Drives me nuts how much gas is and how they always have an excuse to jack up the price.

Haha you think $40 to fill up a car is expensive? In america its like $4.50 for 1 gallon In the UK its ~$2.50 for ONE LITRE. So don't complain, we have to pay much more.
