When I was 18 I traveled around Europe by train. The most scenic journey was from Oslo to Bergen in Norway. I saw some very picturesque views and met some interesting people. I learned that some large cities have many main train stations like Paris, trains from the north used Gare de Nord and then I had the metro to Gare de Lyon to go to the south. I learned that there are a variety of different types of train and I found the Thomas Cook European Timetable invaluable. I went around the world for just over one year and years later to New Zealand for a few months. I liked traveling on Amtrak in the USA and got great value train fares off the Internet. One train was running five hours late and got to the station at midnight. I was offered a free hotel room or a zero charge for a taxi. So I took the free taxi and it cost the train company $40 for it had to travel for half an hour. In Australia I got a train down the Queensland coast and it had a club loco car. In New Zealand I took one of the last journeys to Invercargill, sadly train lines are closing in many parts of the world. I found the bunks short on the train in Malaysia. I saw a giraffe when I was traveling by train in Kenya. Train is my favorite form of transportation.

Its true,Traveling in train is really cool, as we can see many places from the windows, came to know many people.Whenever the train moves I feel sleepy. But some times,it is tiring,as my longest travel's duration is more than 36 hours.
