I want to learn about World War II . . . where do I start?

I would like to start studying World War II and I have no idea where to begin! I know almost nothing about the major battles. Can anyone recommend any particularly helpful websites? I would like to get an idea of the battles and where they occurred, but since World War II was so huge and covered so many countries, I'm kind of lost. Are there World War II historians on here who can enlighten me? Which battles do you find particularly interesting?
