Some other options other than the normal ones: you can give them a bath, some babies love the warm water. Music can always help. Both of my sons loved the bathroom ceiling fan turned on for some reason, and would automatically stop crying. The stove fan is another hint I found. My newest son loves the sound of the shower running or any other water running. I've also heard that some babies like the sound of white noise or like to look at it, so you could try that. My newest son right now just fell asleep next to the fan (turned away from him), he obviously likes the humming of it. He also likes to look up at the ceiling fans. Both of mine love the bouncers and swings. If all else fails, babies love to be held, especially by their parents which is the scent they know. Any smoke or heavy perfume can make them cry also, as it's unfamiliar/too strong for them. Hope some of these help!

I also forget ... if all else fails, a car ride! I remember my first son would cry and cry and we'd pack him up in his car seat in the middle of the night and ride around the block and he would fall instantly asleep. Worked every time!

Very young babies like to be swaddled so when my two month old granddaughter is fussy I wrap her in a light blanket and then try different things in search of the one thing she likes. If she doesn't want a bottle I try the pacifier. If she doesn't want either of those I put her on my shoulder and pat her back incase she has a bubble. If that doesn't do the trick I walk around with her, swaying as I walk. Looks a little stupid but that usually works. There's also her swing/bouncer. Sometimes that will work when she's fussy.

There are many reasons for a child to cry. You have to check whether the baby doesn't feel well, whether he/she is hungry, cold, hot, tired etc. And when you find the reason, you shall know what to do. Besides, cradle this baby and sing for him/her will be very helpful.

First thing to remember is that babies cry for a reason, never just to cry so never get mad at them!
Check the diaper first, see if it needs changing. Is the baby hungry or thirsty? Maybe he/she wants a little water. Maybe the tummy hurts so try burping the baby. Rock the baby, sing, talk, wrap it up if the weather isn't hot. Sometimes they are lonely and just want to be held. Babies should be held most of their waking hours, anyway.
Sometimes picking up the baby and smiling and laughing will stop the crying if they're just lonely. And sometimes they've been bitten by a mosquito or some other bug that you can't see so inspect the baby carefully to be sure there's no bites or anything.
Are you asking because you have a crying baby? It can be maddening, not being able to stop your baby's cries! But remember always that cries are signals for help, not meant to cause you distress.

Do you have a little music box? Babies LOVE the sound of those. Or soft music? Babies calm well to that.
Also, rocking, of course, helps along with calm soft humming or talking/softly reading from either parent.
Also, a little bath can calm a baby. Or even a ride in the car. Babies fall asleep well sometimes in their car seats. The car movements calm them down.
Make sure your baby is clean, dry and fed and burped. Make sure the baby does not have a little fever or ear ache. But if all that is OK..then the above should work. But only if YOU stay calm and the baby will know that.
In the end..you can't spoil a baby until it over a year-18 months by picking it up, so if the baby is crying, DO pick them up and calm them and cuddle. As long as you are calm..the baby will eventually calm down.
Babies do cry and sometimes scream. having mom or dad there calms them. It is frustration, because they are trying to learn to do something and can't yet. Sometimes they have to cry and BE frustrated to learn to do what thye want. If that's the case..it's OK to let them work it out a little, but not too long. A little crying (a few minutes) expands their lungs and I have heard can even be a little healthy. But a small baby can't
be sopoiled by love. Cuddle and try the music, little bath or car ride..it should work, as long as the baby is otherwise healthy.

Babies do cry for a reason. They may vary from time to time. Sometimes baby cry because of hunger, thirst or they are feeling cold. There are also other reason why they cry. It's important to know first why they cry in order for them to make stop crying.
What I do for my baby when she cry was I look at her temperature. THen check the diaper. Give milk or water if it still does not work I will hold her and check if she has colic. or maybe she just need a talk. Those are some of the things I do to stop my baby from crying.

Thats a tough question, and i did have a tough time with that one. My baby when just born would cry every 15 minutes for at least 10 minutes and thats like forever...may be that was confusing or what i do not know, it wasnt feeding him, as that was done often, and it wasnt any kind of pain, as he aws checked up ofetn too. So the best way is to just hold the baby close to ur chest and let him/her feel ur breath, and try to sooth him out with some calming sound, or just sind something smooth. He will stop, mine did stop when he is holded near and assured he was okay, in my arms, if hez lying on the bed or in a aswing, he used to start the cry all over again.

there's always a reason why baby cried.,maybe she/he is hungry, or the diaper is full of weewee, or there's an insect biting him/her, etc etc...just try to see first what made your baby cry.,i know he/she can't speak to tell you what they really want but try to figure out and do whatever you think is right for your babies comfort.,

I am not very experienced with babies.I only have some experience from my brother's son(When he was a baby).I think if we direct him to a new something then he will try to understand what it is and will forget to cry for some time. But we have to look first why he is crying.if it only cry for nothing we will success with this idea,Thanks

It depends why they are crying if they are simply just crying and feeling a little unhappy then a cuddle normally works sometimes just being close to the people they know love them is all thats needed
