Depends on your profile and usage. If you are a professional and travel frequently, you definitely don't need a desktop. Laptop is far better. But you want to enjoy a computer at home and have a station workstation at the office, Desktop is all the more better coz you have a better storage system and comfort.

i don't think that anyone prefer a laptop instead of a desktop unless he wants to go anywhere with it...a desktop is much better than a laptop...

I always prefer a laptop. It is light, small, and mobile. I used to have desktop but since I change into laptop, I never looking back. I can work anywhere with my laptop and I can watch movies with it.

I prefer laptop than a desktop. For people on the go (just like me) you can never rely on desktop so laptop is a must. but of course, we need a good quality of laptop. Also, it uses little space. You can tuck in anywhere when you are done and compared to desktop, you can place it anywhere at your convenience.

i prefer desktop cuz first the performance is much better and upgradable. unlike laptop, yes some laptops now are upgradable but then it's limited... and desktop perpherals are cheaper than laptops and very easy to find... :)

I prefer a laptop because it takes up less space and can be moved anywhere that I like. I can sit on my sofa, at my dining table, in my bed or in a shady spot in my garden. I have a wireless broadband connection that is very different from a desktop computer that must always remain at my desk. I agree that performance is better on a desktop than a laptop. I like to use my laptop for Internet and email mostly so it can do both these things. I have heard that people that like gaming are better using a desktop than a laptop. Really high range and expensive laptops would have an excellent specification but they would have a high price. With a specified amount of money a customer will always get a better performance desktop than laptop.

I think both desktop computers and laptops are good, and have a lot of good qualities,my parents have a desktop computer and me and fiance own a laptop computer that we bought from a friend a while back.I like the fact that me and fiance can take the laptop basically anywhere in the house, but at the same time I like the mouse on the desktop because it is easier to move, and I can only actually use the laptop if we unhook the desktop mouse and hook it up to the laptop. So I would have to say which one is better all depends on the person who is using them, cause everyone feels different about different things.

i like alot more desktop than laptop, althought i have a laptop, i think you will have a better position in a desktop than in a laptop, you usually go to the bed or to the dofa when using a desktop, and the preformances are alot worse. Some games are full with lag on the laptop and in the desktop they run perfectly.

I prefer desktop over laptop. Simply because desktops are much more powerful than laptops, and I use my computer for gaming and movie editing, so I need a powerful computer.

I prefer laptop because of its portability. I don't need the specs that desktop computers have because I don't play games that are in need of a good hardware.
