Well I dont think I do. My hubby loves to build things so are yard is always a mess of wood and such. Like right now he is building a fort with a waterslide off of it. The kids love it but it stands out big time. We dont have parties that get loud so not to much to complain about I guess.
So are you the kind of neighbor everyone loves or do your neighbors think you are the weed in the neighborhood? I wont judge at all even if you tell me you are a huge pig and your house stinks Ill still like ya.

I think we make good neighbors. We aren't loud and we don't have parties. If we have company we don't get out of control. My husband used to race and had his race car here so at times it was loud but the neighbors never complained, they usually come to check it out and of course it was never started after up anywhere close to noise curfew.

I think I do make great neighbors a lot. I have three great neighbors with the second floor of the apartment building I do live at right now. So it is always great to get to know your great neighbors. If you understand their situations, you will get to know them better. Always have love and respect for one another.

I wouldn't mind living next to me, but I guess that's a pretty biased answer huh?
We are the only family on the block with half a softball team under the age of ten, so our yard is pretty full. We do have a privacy fence, tho, so many don't know what it really looks like. Our porch is usually loaded with crap, that we are either waiting to bring in he house, or waiting to get rid of. I'm not to social, I'll talk to my neighbors, IF they talk to me. We never have loud parties, or a ton of people over at the same time...so I guess you wouldn't say we are bad neighbors, but I don't think we fall into the good neighbor category either.

haha I can be messy at times. Since we live in an apartment 4 storey building, I don't see much of our neighbors let alone hear from them, except the one that likes to visit with us all the time. I'll help out if my neighbors need me to but most of the time we all tend to keep to ourselves.

Good question. i wonder what they would say.
I think we are good neighbours. we speak to everyone but keep our nose out of their business. we are that type of neighbour that people look up to sort of thing so I think that is good.
There's just this one woman and her daughter who really bugs the hell out of us but with a few strategic moves on our part that will all soon change. Cant wait)
They are a nuisance to the other neighbours too so its not just us.
Its interesting though. I wonder wgat they would say. (lol)

Thats why i started this we had a cop asking about one of our new neighbors. They are very silent neighbors for two younger guys rooming together. Well turns out the one they were asking about is a cop who works nights and hes changing jobs so the prestinct is doing a background check. And it got me wondering what my neighbors would say about me?

I try to be a good neighbor and I do have a wonderful neighbor.. So, I guess that I am alright, as she is the greatest person that I have ever had the good fortune to meet.. If I am not a good neighbor, she doesn't say anything one way or the other.. It is just my husband and myself, so we are quiet and don't bother anyone.. We do try and keep the yard in good condition, there is no building or hammering going on here, but would be if there were children.. My house is not spotless, but is clean and tidy.. But between you and I, it could be a bit cleaner.. Oh, well, housework will be here long after I am gone.. Have a great evening

Well, we don't have wild parties but we did raise four kids here and now we have grandkids running around the yard. Our neighbor has always worked third shift so he probably didn't, and doesn't, appreciate all the kid noise! He did complain once, years ago, about the dogs barking while he was trying to sleep. I didn't realize until he told me that his bedroom was on that side of the house. So I moved the dog tether to the other side of the yard. Otherwise, I don't think we've upset anybody! I try to be a considerate dog owner, but I'm not the only one in the neighborhood with barking dogs!
My house is not as well-lanscaped as some others in the neighborhood. I guess I could take better care of my flowerbeds....
And we do tend to have junk in the yard but we try to keep it contained in the back by the alley & hedge where it's not so conspicuous.

Well kids will be kids its not your fault he works 3rd shift. As for the barking dog nice of you to move him to the other side for him.

I feel like I'm a good neighbor because I try to be very quiet and keep to myself. But, I get annoyed easily by noises, etc, and I'm not afraid to ask a neighbor to keep it down. But, I haven't had to do that for the last few years. Some people don't think I'm friendly because I don't like to talk to the neighbors that are very noisy, cuss, or generally don't care about anyone but themselves. So, they complain about me because of that.

I am a good neighbor because my good neighbor takes care of me!! He is the one that takes care of my lawn...everything from spraying...to mowing..to moving snow! I guess in a way I am a good neighbor as I gave him free rein to do whatever he thinks I need done....I just write the check! So he keeps our yards mowed the same...sprayed the same and I don't leave clutter around or he picks it up and gets rid of it! LOL

hmmm you should ask my neighbours lol. I dont know I think we are. Ok so we have more get togethers than any of them but we dont have loud music (in fact most of the times we dont have any music on). We say hi to the neighbours all the time we give tham products from our garden. The kids come over once in a while. our yard is nice and clean (more than I can say for 3 of my 4 neighbours they have small zoos in their yard with dogs, cats, chicken, ruster, rabits you name it my neighbours have it) I dont complain I just put poison in the garage for the mice and rats and I use it safely so I dont poison their pets.

Well, for me, I really don't have any neighbors to worry about. We are on a main street, but no houses around us.
BUT if we did, we would be awful! My kids run thier 4-wheeler, build demolition derby cars and the night before the derby, they have the exhaust cut off and make sure that the car is running alright.
We have had up to 3 cars at one time being worked on.
But, we have lived here for about 7 years, so some of it is just because we are by ourselves. We also have picnics, bonfires, and sometimes, loud music also.
But again, it is from us living away from people.
We would not have a garden and a couple of small ponds either, because this year they are not done as of yet this year because of health reasons.
We wouldn't have 4 dogs, a cat and a lizard.
If we had neighbors the kids wouldn't be out until wee hours in the morning playing basketball either. They wouldn't have a lot of friends over that play video games and cook ALL of the time all times of the night.
I would rather have all of the kids here and tons of them, then them out and I don't know what they are doing half of the time.
I bet the kids that live around you will LOVE the slide though, no matter how it looks.

Well, down the road they are building homes for $150,000 to $300,000! My house is on commercial property and one day the landlord will sell it when the price is right. But until then, I will stay happy here, at least until my kids are old enough to move out. LOL

I am a huge pig and my house stinks.
No, I am not really and my house does not stink, but I think that I am a good neighbour until I decide to let the kids out in the garden and then everyone goes in and shuts their doors, as they are sooo noisy.
I reckon if anything my only downfall is that when I play music, it has to be loud, not overly loud but loud enough for me not to be heard if I sing. But I have asked my neighbours before if they can hear it or if it bothers them and they say they cannot hear it. So that is good, means I can have it on even louder!!

I'd like to say I'm a good neighbor, I try to stay out of everybody's business...but of course I live out in the country, so my neighbors aren't very close to me...lol. But if I did live in town or something, I think I'd be a good neighbor, try not to get too loud or anything..

Our house is that one on the block that when you walk past you say "Are they ever gonna do anything with this place?"
The roof needs replacing, the shed is a pile of wood, the siding is falling off, there are boards hanging down from the porch roof. It's just a mess. The lawn and landscaping are a mess too. We're the ones everyone thanks for their property values being so low.
Other than that, I'm not loud although my kids are, we don't get a lot of company. I am a pig, but my neighbors don't know that :D

You don't have to worry about me, am a silent/quiet-type of a neighbor. My activities are mostly during night-time, usually when I login here in mylot. My day is not that busy, I don't really like being loud and noisy..
I remember our past neighbor back then, always plays their radio loud every morning. I don't really mind much about it, but the thing that irks me is that he always play the same lame and dumb music every morning.

I live in a two-storey building flat. Mine is a spacious apartment. Whenever people around need some additional space for celebrating any function or event, they come to me and i used to help them by giving a portion of my apartment for free, for the purpose. They all treat me with respect. Therefore, i think, i make a good neighbour.
