There is no real difference to the companies. Although they seem to market towards and even younger audience nowadays. It used to be focused on teens and adults, and seem to have become more for children nowadays. They had to switch the name from WWF because of legal matters.

Smclin yoy got it right. Must be a bunch of youngn's on here. The WWE is prohibited from calling themselves WWF by a court of LAW. It has nothing to do with wanting to be big shots. Vince McMahon is lucky he kept the name as long as he did.

I prefered it when the company was under the WWF banner as there was more action to go along with the storylines. Now you see Vince McMahon prancin around with the divas (which isn't a bad thing, I would if I had his money and power) and performing adultery. I mean I know it's all show but whatever happened to one of the W's in WWF(e) wrestling. Thats supposedly what the fans are supposed to b paying to watch. I still watch it now but I think the standards have slipped slightly.

Its the same company.....WWE was formerly called WWF. WWF stands for World Wrestling Federation......and WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment.....I guess its more of entertainment now.....so enjoy!
