If you have been into a long distance relationship before, or involving into long distance relationship this time, why dont you share your experience having a LDR. Was it hard? tempting? or you feel like giving up and be with someone who's beside you all the time

When I traveling around the world when I was 20 I met an interesting man on a train. We got chatting and found that we had many common interests. We began a relationship and I spent much time with him in Queensland. I still had much traveling to do and it was sad flying on to Darwin on the next leg of my journey. When I was in Asia we both spent loads on phone calls. I came home to the UK and he saved up to come to England. He arrived one sunny day and thought that the weather was cold. We got married and had a baby son. Since then we have got divorced. I prefer a being with someone that lives quite close to me. A long distance relationship can be expensive going to and from where the other person lives. These days email and mobile phone contact is possible but in the days I am talking about phone calls were pricey and letters took a week between the UK and Australia.

hi maximax8, i think it depends for both of you how you handle and take good care of your relationship. but im not saying that you and your ex husband didnt have time to take good care of your relationship. it is maybe you and your man lack something before deciding to get married. like spending more time to each other and know what consequneces u may have especially both of u knew that you often travels to any other places. but im still hoping for you relationship to bloom again..take care and good luck!

I had a LDR one time. She was my first girlfriend, and it was the best thing that I have had in my entire life so far. I'll never forget her. But you know... nothing lasts forever. I has been six years that we broke up, but I still cant forget her. Im starting to ask to myself if nothing really lasts forever. Quiete poetic =P

My wife and I were in a LDR for 10 months before we got married. It can work out if you try at it. We have been married for almost 8 years

I am currently having a LDR, but my man and I are getting by.
I don't see anything wrong for two people to be in a long distance relationship because by them bettering themselves they can make more equal contributions to the relationship. I think the distance between me and my boyfriend is the shortest way to be in each other's hand.
If you don't trust each other, then there's no love after all.

I was in a long distance relationship. I had meet the girl on the summer holiday at the seaside and we hook up, but she was living in a city located at about 500 kilometers away from my city. Anyway we tried to keep in touch for a while but when it became obvious to me that i am hoping in vain, i gave up and started looking for someone here, in my hometown.
