Do you think it is true or fake? My father has told me this about the Global Warming that it is not true. He says that back many years ago, i think in he mid 40s and 50s, they had the freeze warning back than. He said that the freeze warning never did happen, and that Global Warming is the same thing.
What are your views about this? Can anybody explain?

I remember warnings about a second ice age too but I also remember warnings about oil becoming scarce and the need to find alternative energy. I remember reading about the effect of pollution on the air and the sea. I remember hearing about floods and droughts caused by deforestation and intensive farming.
Unfortunately the politicians at the time took no notice. Green campaigners were treated as a joke. Only now there is evidence that the effects have really damaged the planet and the climate is changing faster than would naturally happen. Ice is melting at the poles. Extremes of weather are much more common. Oil prices are rising and basic foods are getting scarce.
This is all the direct result of our impact on the planet and we need to act now to slow down what is now called 'global warming'. It means taking care of the planet which sustains us. We can't stop what is happening we can only take precautions to slow it down and stop further devastation from rising sea levels, famine and levels of pollution.
