I have a preference for dog to cat to be my pet, since i have found that dogs are more faithful and loyal to people, than cats. How about you, mylotters -you prefer what? Dog or Cat or any others - why?

I like dogs and cats and I agree in most cases dogs are more loyal, even though cats can be loyal too,and they both make really good pets.

I prefer cats, as does my husband. We currently have 3 cats and one dog. We seem to attract the really great cats, and the really neurotic dogs. We had a beagle for a while, but she went to live with my sister, who had one of my dog's litter-mates, and she's now on doggy-Prozac. We have a Lab now, and he's 4 months old, and not housebroken. At least our cats use the litter-box, and not my son's bed! Our cats are very faithful and loyal, even more than the dog is. The cats come when they're called, and the dog runs in the other direction. They pet us when we want it, and he jumps up on my white skirt while I'm walking out the door to church. Our new kitten cleans up the spilled "people food", and the dog won't! We love our dog, but the messes and attitude are becoming a real deal-breaker, and if it doesn't stop immediately, he's going to a new home, too. Cats don't make near the mess that dogs do, and they're far easier to house-train. They suit our life-style, too. Laid back, don't constantly need attention, easygoing. We much prefer cats to dogs, even though we love the dog, raising, training, and housebreaking are still a bigger hassle than we want to deal with. Know of any good, free, instant-results training websites?
