My son who will turn 3 yrs this july, is always effected by dust allergies, right from his birth, he is so very sensitive to pollution. He recently suffered pnemonia, 2 weeks bk and after recovering from it, he is sick again, with lots of flum formation in the chest, cough, cold. We have frequent visits to the doctor, and my son is frequently on antibiotics, which are not so very good themselves. I guess he has no stamina, but how can i prevent this? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanx...

Try to go to other doctors for second, third or even fourth opinion..Better yet seek the help of a specialist with regards to allergies..My son had the same sickness last year and was found to have allergies from the air he breathes..He was given a medicine for allergies and soon enough he was cured and didnt have one eversince..The doctor specializes with pediatric pulmonology..I dont wanna give you any names of the medicine because it was a long time ago and Im not sure of the name either.. Hope your son gets well soon..

he keep on watch,
very sorry to hear about that
well, maybe, first you should always keep him away from the kind of allergen. it's also good to let him do more physical activity (of course not exercises since he is still that young) to improve his stamina and health. Let him get sunshine in the morning, that's also very good for his health.
i get also dust (and cold) allergy. i will sneeze much in the morning especially in the dusty environment. sometimes it continues till the whole day.
but i am getting better now after i am practicing exercises, especially yoga.

you need to vacumn your sons bedroom thoroughly and use
a nozzle attachementto vacumn the bed too. wash the bedding
in hot soapy water. this will help get ridof dust mites.
they bother me also.also you might uptake your sons vitamins
'specially vitamin c for better cold resistance.

I have heard those things like the Ionic Breeze can really help, as it keeps the air fresh and pulls in things from the air that are helpful. You can probably find it on line, although I don't think it is cheap, but it might be worth it for you. Best of luck.

The first thing I would do is get rid of all the carpet. If you can't get rid of it in the whole house, than at least get rid of it in his bedroom.
Carpet is the worst thing for people with allergies. Ask my cousin cjgrooms about it.
You can never vacuum it enough or shampoo it enough to make it safe for people with allergies.
You will notice a drastic change in the amount of dust you have in your house if you can get rid of it.

Namaste!
I am 23 year old now and I always had this dust allergy for the first 15 years of my life. Do not try to be overprotective towards your son because the more you protect him, the lesser are his chances of developing immunity. Some natural methods, like using mustard oil when he starts sneezing etc would serve the purpose. It worked for me at least!I know it is horrible to think of putting mustard oil into someone's nose but trust me, it would help the child.

Hi keep on watch, i think you are Indian. Let me suggest one ayurvedic medicine. It's a produce of Kerala. I think its available all over India. Its name is 'Breathe Easy' from Pankajakasturi. Or you can log on to their website.
It'll help you definitly.

My elder brother had such problem of sneezing almost 6 to 10 times if he is exposed to pollution or dust. There are medicine available, please consult a doctor because medical science has advanced alot now and anti-allergic medicines are easily available now.

I suppose there are no direct remedies to this. But I would advice for you to let him sleep all the time in clean sheets and clean pillow sheets as well. This is crucial.
I have a cousin before suffering something like this, and they call it a sinus problem or something. I think it's more or less related to something that your son is going through.
Do take care and I hope you aren't too worried. Take care, friend.
