I don't know how many of you have heard of Pollyanna. I saw the movie as a child and the story has stayed in my mind ever since. Follow the link to read a bit more about Pollyanna http://rhiannasfairygarden.blogspot.com/2008/03/silver-linings.html Anyway the essence of this amazing story is that you should be glad for what you have. Very true words we all know but how many of us really take the time to stop and be thankful for the things that come our way? Is it not true that people tend to spend more time asking why is this happening to why? The world is full of negativity and complaints. What it needs is kindness and appreciations. I have been visiting the hospital of late and this has made me appreciate my health and the health of my family. Even my sick father has a better health than some. So now matter how small it is find something to being glad about and share with us all. ~ may in every way this be a special say ~

My nickname was Pollyanna when I was a kid. I had a lot in common with her. Every time that movie is on tv, I'm glued to the set. So yes - let's spread some gladness and put aside our sadness!

Well put dear friend and so very true. I am sure that if people took more time our to be glad then they would have less time to be sad. It is interesting how sad and glad rhyme so well. Thanks for stopping by

That is a very good approach to life Lourhi. If I should do this everyday then I would certainly eliminate much of my worrying. I'll try it some times but some timess I just really want to rant and feel good afterwards. (lol) Thanks for sharing this positive approach to life. (lol)

Yes ranting certainly has a place in the world. It is all about balance though and hopefully if everyone were to get the balance right then we would eventually eliminate the need to rant.
