I don't personally own this camera, YET. I do have the older model with 8 megapixels though. If you're looking for a good camera with great specs, including 12.1 megapixels, video capabilities, HD resolution and other stuff, AND at a great price, I would recommend checking this one out. Whenever I get the chance I will be buying myself one.
I can't paste on this site yet, so if you want to check it out, go to Bestbuy.com and search for Kodak Z1285. I think Walmart has it on their site too.

I am looking for an extra camera, I take photos for a band and I have learnt it is a good idea to always have a second camera, but what I have noticed with digital cameras there is always a couple of seconds delay from pressing the button to when the photo actually takes which is a nightnmare when taking stage shots, this is even with the red eye function off so if when you get your camera I would be interested to know if this happens with this camera...I hope you get your camera and I hope you are happy with it...

Yeah, the delay can suck. As I said, I have the older model of this camera and I can say that the delay was not bad at all. I would suggest looking into this camera. It's only $199 which is a great deal for a 12.1 mp camera that can take videos and is in HD resolution.

I just got this camera the other day.
As for the previous posters question, there is a delay still with the image capture, but not nearly as long as it used to be. It's about half a second, maybe less. There is a way to turn this off on most Kodak camera's now, I managed to do it on my old one. Have you tried taking it to a camera shop to have them look at it? Thats what I did with mine and they managed to get the delay off.
Back to this camera, it is one of the easiest to use so far. The thing is truly idiot proof. The only thing you have to do is put the memory card in, and theres a cute little arrow to tell you how. Then turn on and shoot.
Enjoy your camera, you'll love it. Something tells me though, based on your profile picture, that you did not get the hot pink one that mylot uses as the icon... :)

Yes I think I might take my camera along with me to a camera shop when I buy my second one and see if they can take the delay out of both for me, good idea thanks for that..

Heres a review of it. I own a Canon PowerShotA540 4Z zoom and 6.0 MegaPixels. It's not the greatest but it does a super job for a camera in this range.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
