Mapquest

I have found that sometimes Mapquest is right on the money, and sometimes it's like opening an atlas, closing your eyes and pointing. How can it be so precise and so out-of-whack at the same time? Does it depend on the popularity/population of a town, city or destination? I haven't had the same problems with Yahoo Maps-they seem to be quite up-to-date, even with new development/subdivisions in my (tiny) home town.

I use mapquest all the time and it has helped me to get where I want to go whether it is a far trip or just to another town or state.
