War will bring Tax Increases

For those that want to keep this war going until we "win" I say THANK YOU. Thank you, because soon I will have to pay higher taxes, thank you. I actually do not blame the Democrats on this issuse, even though they want me to pay more, I blame the Republicans. This war has to be paid for, oh wait we forgot about that now did we not. Yes Pat Buchanan told you all that would happen, but you did not listen to him. You listen to Bill Kristol who said the war would pay for itself, how is that working out? War is expensive what part of that do you not understand?

I've seen credible estimates saying this war will cost us 3 trillion. I'm even more afraid if we "win" in Iraq and decide to take care of Iran next. I would expect another very costly and long drawn out war.
I still don't see why we can't use Iraq oil exports to repair their country instead of our tax dollars. Its seems very messed up over there, not just militarily, the entire situation. I fear its going to take years and years to get out of there even after "victory" is proclaimed.

Of course we're going to all have to pay taxes sooner or later but those who started this war will be long gone before that happens so maybe they can blame it on someone else. Funny thing is, much as I don't want higher taxes I'd gladly pay double or triple if that meant our troops could start coming home and no more would have to die. That is the real cost of this war, in my opinion. Money can't replace a life once it's lost.
