Step back take a look around
Do you see what I see?
A world of hate and poverty.
People struggling to get by,
Soldiers at war..destined to die.
A man lies on the side of street,
Sick and dying with nothing to eat.
Black and blue,
Turn a blind eye.
Not even a question...no one asks why.
Little girls cry in there bed,
Cause mommys boyfriend only wanted head.
Teenagers cut there wrist for the pain,
No one understands, they just call them insane.
Priests turn out to rape little boys,
It's covered up, hush hush, no more noise.
America the land of the free,
Then why do people have to strip just for money?
Contracting AIDS and HIV,
A life cut short by stupidity.
Knocked up girls cry in the halls,
Feeling like they've lost it all.
How many people must die?
It is possible to open at least one eye?
Will we ever step up to the plate?
Probably...when it's way to late.
Does anyone else see how corrup this world is. How does one person make a differance?

WOW honey did you write this. That is wonderful. Very expressive.
One time my youngest son reminded me of a line from a movie we saw that said "one raindrop can raise the ocean", and my favorite quote is "Be the change you want to see in the world".
It might seem that one person cannot make a difference in this insane world but think about it. If you make a difference to one person than you HAVE made a difference. And they might go on to make a difference to someone else and so on and so forth.

Thanks for the comment it means alot to know that people are affected by what I write and that I'm not wasting my time. sometimes i just feel like its a lost cause trying to get people to see. You know we are so set on jumping everytime anoter country needs help but we cant even careenough to fix our country.
