I haven't been writing much lately because I really like to answer all my responses and I can't find the time with family commitments , but I was so angered with this when I saw it , I just had to let you all know .
I was reading the teletext on TV this morning , I could not believe what I read , There was a man ( Australian I think ) who had a crate of beer in the car beside his child , he had the seat belt around the crate of beer and his child was sitting with no seat belt , I just can't get this out of my mind . I won't drive off until my grandchildren or my parents( who have Alzheimer's) are all belted up and safe , can you believe anyone could be so stupid xxx

As soon as I read your topic headline I gave the dee in the head ligh look O.O. I am a mom of 4 and I will not even put my car in drive untill I know the EVERYONE in MY car is buckled up. It never seises to amaze me how stupid people are today. I have to openly admit that there are times that I am ashamed of the human race becaus of the lack of brains in some of us. The stories of new moms microwaving there babies, or just plain out leaving there babies in there cars in the middle of summer makes me sick to my stomach and ashamed of the human race. Granted I know it is a small handfull that are f****d up in the head but the fact still remains that these humans exist. People like this guy you talked about make me want to be an animal of the wild more and more every day just to get away from the human race.

I can believe it. I am not a drinker, but my ex was. I left him to keep my daughter from being around someone who stayed drunk all the time. He rarely visits her or has her over, He'd rather be drinking.
He puts himself and his drinking before everything else, so he would probably do something like this.

He can only see her when he has a supervisor. His mother is a supervisor, but she doesn't stop him from drinking. His girlfriend use to be a friend of ours. i trust her to keep my daughter safe, but she still lets him drink around her.
I hope they take the child from the home of that man. He doesn't deserve to be entrusted with the care of the child and if the mother is around she should not have let him take the child with him. They would both be putting the child in danger, and should be stopped from being able to put that child in harms way.

That is absolutely unbelieveable!!! Some people really hae their priorities screwed up. I can't begin to express how this makes me feel. A man like that has no right to hae children.

Well my ex husband drank ALOT. Im sure he would have done something like that if I ddnt keep my children safe. We are no longer together because he chose alchohol over me. He still drinks and he still drives. I feel bad for my boys because they still live in the same city as him. But they are grown up and they like me dont put up with him and his drinking.

Unbelievable. Some people are just plain stupid in my opinion and don't deserve to have children.

Alchoholism makes many act stupid. Hopefully he was given a ticket and forced to go to court and hear a chastising from the judge. Personally I wonder if he is this stupid what other stupid things he may have done concerning his child. I hate people like this.

hello maam, first of accept my greetings to you.Only yesterday i saw your profile and hats off to you for your energetic outlook towards life.
well regarding the episode which you have mentioned it does seem very strange to me that people behave so foolishly.I fail to understand that how can people behave so stupidly by leaving the child without a seat belt.
have a nice day maam.....

I'm not as angry as those men who critize the idiot's behavior;maybe this world just disappoint me so much that I'm accustomed to the children abusing here or there ,or war for this or that reason;the world we live is this ,it has its bad sides forever .we could only behave ourselves but we can't persuade someoneelse do something just in a mind what we have;so I'm wordless to other people's behaviorw which is very different to me!

I was hoping this was a joke, but I found it on FoxNews as well (site won't let me paste link). I can't even imagine anyone could be so stupid. I don't have children myself, but I can't imagine even pulling out of a parking space without a child being belted up. I have an infant niece who I love, and babysit her occasionally; let me tell you I watch her like a hawk and don't leave her for even a second even though she is not crawling yet. When and if she rides in my car, she will be buckling up in it even when she is 30. I know her parents will insist on the same. It always pains me to hear stories of people who have no regard for the life of their own child.

Hi weemam,
Its terrible when people don't protect their kids in cars. None of us know when an accident is going to happen. I am often driving down the road and think around the next bend i could be wiped out. I always belt my kiddies in and think anyone who does not do this needs to be sat down and shown pictures of what happens in an accident when kids are not wearing seat belts.
