When you see a sale going on, do you jump in to take advantage of big savings or do you opt to stay away from the noise and crowds?
Personally, I'm a big fan of sales. I make sure to keep tabs on mall wide sales and even go as far as to ask employees when the next big sale will be. On regular days, I still buy stuff, but I find that I just can't resist a sale. I'm driven by the knowledge that I am saving money whenever I buy something on sale. So instead of computing how muc I'm spending, I keep track of how much I'm saving! Obviously, this may lead to overspending on my part because I tend to buy cheaper goods which I don't necessarily need.
What are your views on this?

No I'm trying to save as much money as possible! In the past all I did was spend my money and I still feel guilty about it so right now I'm just trying to save all my money, and spend as little as possible.

Wow! I envy your willpower to not spend even though there's a sale. It's very difficult for me to do. Sometimes, when I really cannot afford to spend, I just stay home or do something else to get busy. By not going to the sale I can save a lot of money but at the same time I always regret not going when I need to buy something later on that I could've gotten for a bargain price at the sale.

My mom and I go crazy when there are sales... especially on stores that sell a bit expensive clothes. It's because, when they go "sale", their products seem really good bargains.. imagine buying items for just half the price!! :)

I agree with you. Normally, I don''t buy regular priced items at more upscale stores because I know that I may be able to get them at half the price during a sale. Also, sales at these stores are quite predictable, which is when the season changes and the old collection has to go. Like yourself, I enjoy shopping with my mom because she pays for the stuff I buy.

I try to saty away from the 2 day sales, those seem to be the busiest of them all. I do like a good sale and will always hit up my favorite stores when they are having good sales and take full advantage of them.

sales.. i love sales... but to buy or not to buy even if it is a sale would have to depend on my wallet. lol. i really dont buy much. but when i shop i prefer to buy things on sales. but if its an emergency then i have to buy it on a regular price. sales are indeed great because the prices are marked down. i had a friend who keeps track of mall sales. he told me that in sm the sales would occur during august and octobers.. and i did notice that also. hehehe
