What will you do? That happen to me today, I told the people at the place their was no soap in the restroom. Their are so many people that come in and out of the restroom. and they can't be washing there hands. I always keep sanitizer in my purse anyway, in a situation like this or any situation. Ok, I just wanted some fed back about this. Have a wonderful weekend!

I also try to keep hand sanitizer in my purse for situations like that. I always feel safer knowing I have that stuff around just in case! lol My mom also just recently got a little container of soap strips. I think it is something new. They are like little paper-thin strips of soap and you just take one out and add water, then you can use it to wash your hands if there is no other soap available. I think it's a really good idea!

i think you got the right idea. keeping that sanitizer in your bag is a great idea. if i find myself in a restroom with no soap i still wash my hands. I mean rinsing them off is better then walking out with doing anything

I hope the workers of the place had a washup area in the back with soap in it. I hate to think of people serving me that have not washed up with soap!! Please tell me it was not a restaurant! I saw a boy at Hardee's blow his nose while waiting on food to fill an order. After blowing he did not wash his hands. I told the manager and the manager made him wash up! LOL I hope he learned a lesson!

Oh I hate it when this happens. But what is there to do - unless you want to bring along soap or soap-alternatives yourself. I have no choice but to wash just water alone. One can only make do in such circumstances.

that is why I like those little bottles of sanitizer you spoke of. I don't carry a purse (most guys don't), but I do have a bottle of that stuff in my truck. It comes in handy (no pun intended LOL) in situations like that. I mainly got it for times when I would leave work and go to lunch to McDonald's or somewhere, and would just go through the drive-thru and sit in my truck and eat. I have found a few other uses for it, though.

I let them know too. Whats worse is when there is no toilet tissue, thats the pits. I always wash my hands after using the restroom. it surprises me the number of women who do not wash their hands. I am extra careful when I take the little ones to the potty, I tell them don't touch anything. Then I help them wash their hands good.

If there isn't any soap it's not such a huge deal to me. Like you I always have a hand sanitizer in my purse just in case. I don't like using it, but if it comes down to using it or feeling gross all day, I'll use it. I doubt I'd go and tell anyone that they didn't have any soap in their bathroom, I'd just go on about my business.

That would be awful. I guess that I would just at least have to wash with water to try to get my hands clean. that would be better than nothing at all. I never carry a purse with me most of the time. I do not go to many places anyway. I guess it would be a good idea to start carrying some just for those kinds of situations along with other mishaps also.

Hi Marcia! There are two things that disturb me greatly when I go to a public restroom, to find there is no soap and no toilet paper!! I get very irritated at this. I have started when my family and I are traveling to carry a roll of toilet paper in the car with use and the sanitizer also just in case this happens. Another thing that disturbs me is to see a lady walk out of the restroom without washing their hands. It makes me wonder if they wash them before cooking a meal for their family at home!! I can understand young kids doing this if they haven't been taught better, but an adult?? That really grates on my nerves!! Have a great weekend!!!

Hi, I hope you are having a Fun Holiday, Yes, it makes you wonder about these kids. I went to Macdonald a couple of months ago, and one of the wprkeres there did know wash her hands. I was at the sink and I was trying to get out of the Ladys way so she could wash her hands, she went right pass the sink and out the door. I thought, I can't believe she didn't wash her hands! so when I left the restroom, I wanted to get some cookies. Do you know she had the nerve to wait on me, I told her Oh No, you didn't wash your hands when you were in the restroom, she told a bare face Lie, and said I wash them when I came out of the restroom from here, I told her I didn't want her to wait on me. I shouldv'e told her Manager.

Hi, I think this is pretty much an everytime occurrence when I visit a public restroom! Unsanitary is a pretty big understatement here! I always carry hand sanitizer with me for just this reason. With all the different sicknesses going around it is only common sense to wash up and sanitize after using a public restroom. cheers,

I'm not a big fan of public restroom soap so I don't really mind if there wasn't any. The liquid soaps available in public washrooms don't smell good and don't make a lot of bubbles so I don't think it will make your hands cleaner. I'll just wash my hands with water then moisturize with the antibacterial lotion I carry around. You can get those at Bath and Body Works in different scents that all smell so good. Not only does it keep my hands clean and germ free, it also nourishes and hydrates my skin.

40 years down the line, and I can still remember the smell of the carbolic soap they used at my first school! Nowadays,I don't mind what restroom soap smells like-As long as it's there to clean your hands with!

I always carry a little purse sized sanitizer too. Sometimes they have soap dispensers that are so icky I can't bear to use them, and then other times they've let them run out of soap. I'd rather be prepared than forego washing my hands after being in a public restroom! Hope you're having a good weekend so far :-)

Yeah I hate when this happens. However luckily I brought instant hand antiseptic with moisturizers all the time so I can apply it to my hard and it cleans my hand instantly. I hate dirty hands, and I don't like eating food with unwashed hand.

i'm not a germaphobic. Even small amounts of the nasty germs are good for us as they help to boost our immune systems. Even just washing our hands under running water removes a large amount of germs.

I keep a little bottle of sanitized in my purse to because if you think about it you wash your hands but then you open the door which others have touched which not all of them washed their hands so washing your hands didn't do any good so if you have a bottle of sanitizer once you are out of the bathroom rub it into your hands and you are good to go.
