Have you ever clicked the "Start a new discussion button" and then forgot...

This happened to me a couple minutes ago. I clicked the "Start a new discussion" button on the MyLot forum and then completely forgot what I was going to post. For me, it's really early. So, maybe that explains why my brain is not working.
It's Saturday and my brain would prefer to be asleep. (BTW, Does the brain ever really sleep, just wondering.) So, has that ever happened to you? Have you ever went to post a discussion and then developed sudden and irreversible amnesia? This can't just be happening to me.

haha, I think that happened to tons of mylotter here. People are forgetful and that's pretty normal. Just like me.. I always forgot where I laid my cellphone so I always use instant messenger and ask a friend to call me lol
Just so I can find my cellphone!

Yes, this happens to me all the time. I think of something really good to post and then totally forget what I was going to talk about. I hate when that happens because I can never seem to remember it again... very annoying. I think my problem is I open the tab to start the discussion then get caught up doing something else and when I go back, I have forgotten it and usually looking at the the interest I opened it in doesn't help because it will be like "people" or "life" or something totally general

That's so true! I get very distracted online.
Sometimes if I've opened up a discussion tab under cats, then
that will jog my memory. Otherwise I'm floating on the
open ocean in a row boat without a paddle!
No clue at all what I'm doing and no idea on how
to get back home.

I do that all too often if I don't have it written down or a photo on my computer to reminds me. This is one reason I carry a pen and paper with me in the car and my camera with me most the time. This way when I think of or see a possible discussion I write it down or take a photo to jog my memory. But I can still forget what the discussion was to be about. Brain sleeping? Mine snores a lot actually.

Brain snoring! LOL! That's a good one.
I like your notebook idea and the camera thing too.
I've got to get a new digital camera so I can snap
some of this funny stuff that happens in my life.
I don't think anyone believes my crazy stories.
But all this weird stuff keeps happening to me!
It really does. Or, at least that's my official
story.

I do this nearly every time I go to start a discussion. I know it is morning here, and I'm by no means a morning person, but it happens all the time.
I haven't gotten to the point yet where I actually need to write it down so I can remember, but from the looks of things, I'll be doing that shortly. Part of the problem is while I'm posting on here, I'm also working from home.

really, this JUST happened to me , but most of the time things like that happen to me, I'm the type of guy that usually forgets stuff.
Now i'm going to spend all day and try to remember my discussion, I hope I do...
And the brain doesn't sleep, it just lowers the activity.

Whenever I had think something to discuss here, I usually wrote and finalize it first in paper before I place it here in mylot. Just what I have shared in one discussion, I don't think that I have the talent to write away and conceptualize the idea that I have think about. In this way, I could write immediately the discussion and say in detail what I wanted to share in my discussion. Though there are still times that I will stop in the middle of writing it because something better had gone in my head.

Yes, I have and it can be annoying. So I try to retrace my 'memory' steps. I'll go through all my interests trying to see if the pictures will ring the bell about what I was planning on posting. If that doesn't work I'll try to think of something else to post about, but it probably is never as good as what I had planned to post about.

Yes, it happened to me, so if my idea was lost I am just thinking of another idea, of I forgot it because someone disturbedm thoughts.
