hey all,
okay so i have been reading about travels in europe and i got confused about something. maybe you guys can help me clear it up because honestly i dont have a clue.
im talking about travelling to europe jumping from one country to another by train. they have this pass called a europass or a euroglobal pass and etc. it lets you use the train in a period of time when you acquire it.
what confuses me is that, are you only allowed to use it when you are jumping from lets say france then to italy and then italy to germany? or are you also allowed to use the europass with the local trains in france or in italy? or in any country that you jumped to?
i really would appreciate replies

The Europass is split into two types - Single Country Pass or Multiple Country Pass.
The Multiple Country pass is then split into another two types - Global or Select. Global means it can be used for all rail travel between the EU nations. Select is where you choose 3 to 5 bordering countries in the EU for your pass.
For example, in my case, I live in Switzerland. With the Europass Select, I can jump on a train from Zurich heading to Paris and then in Paris jump on another train heading to Spain or Italy.
I don't think you can use it for local trains - only for ones heading out of the country.
For more info, you ought to check out www.raileurope.com
It has a list of all the bordering countries combinations, which is probably what you were wondering about.
