If you were traveling in the United States, what states would you go to and why? I would go to North Carolina,to see family as well as South Carolina and also go to Myrtle Beach.Go to Georgia to see friends and Florida to see family and go to Disney. Then on to Alabama to see more family and Texas to see family and friends.Off to Illinois to see family and my father's grave as well as other landmarks. In Ohio I will see family and do genealogical research and do more research in Kentucky and Graceland and Nashville in Tenessee.

I have been living in the United States all my life, in Upstate New York. I have traveled to the Gloucester area/vicinity in Northeast Massachusetts, Jonesport, Maine, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Tampa, Florida all for vacations. I traveled to the Meadowlands Sports Complex in New Jersey for a hockey game. I have traveled to Georgia to visit family and relatives. That is about all.

I've been to about 30 states, but that means I have 20 more to go! I'd like to go to Wyoming, North and South Dakota, and then fly to New York. From there I'd like to go to New Hampshire and Maine. And of course I would have to take a cruise to Hawaii at some point.

Well, I live in Washington state. The areas I would love to be able to travel too, and visit again are a ways from here, but I would Love to go there again. If I could I would Love to take Amtrak clear across the USA. I would go to somewhere like NYC, and then rent a car, or find other means of travel from there to see Washington DC, Boston, NJ, Philladelphia, and some of the other areas around there. I am so wanting to go back to the East coast and visit again and see more. Actually hoping to at least get to NJ and NYC sometime next yr.

Oh my,I remember going on the only vacation I have ever been on I took a bus to California to see some relatives. On the way we were going thru Colorado.I was so excited to see the Rocky Mountains.I had always heard how beautiful they were. When we were going thru Colorado it was late at night and this man knew how excited I was and he said not for me to worry that he was an early riser and he would wake me when we got there. He did,it was 5:00 am and fog covered the mountain tops.We stop at the base of a mountain for breakfast.I got a table by the window and saw the sun rise over the mountains. It was July and the tree's were full and it was beautiful. That was 32 years ago and I'll never forget that view.

When I go to the USA, it's usually go Arizona. I fly from Toronto to Phoenix and then go to Sedona. My husband is currently working in Arizona, and has a condo down there, and I live and work in Canada.

I live in the United States in Indiana. If I was to travek around here, I would love to go to Alaska or Hawaii or Florida. I love to go to states that are close to the ocean. I would also love to go to California sometimes too but it is not one of my favorite places that I would like to visit. I love to also go to states that have sandy beaches on the ocean also and is warm. I live close to Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, and Michiagne, so those would be easy for me to visit. I have been to Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee and Missouri so far.

I have been to most states - I should want to visit those to which I have not yet been -
Hawaii, Alaska, Maine (unless you count inutero) North Dakota, South Carolina...
But truly I should like to go back to New York State as I have not been "home" in more than a dozen years, I would like to visit with my relatives there.

Each time that I have been to the United States I have ended up in California so the next time that I go there I would love to see some new places that I haven't been to before. I would love to go to Boston to see the historical buildings and to Cape Cod to see a lovely coastal location. It would be fascinating to visit New York and see a place that is in so many movies that I have watched. I think that it would be interesting to go to Washington to see the White House. I know that it would be exciting if I saw the Niagara Falls. I would like to see the Keys in Florida because I enjoy seeing tropical scenery. I might like to have a few days on a palm fringed beach. I would enjoy a trip to the Everglades National Park to see the alligators. It would be wonderful to go to Seattle and see its beautiful setting. The USA is a huge country, Amtrak is my favorite way to travel around it and there is so much to see.

I have never been on a train other then the subway and would love to ride on one.I have been looking into schedules and price's of the Amtrak trains in the United States, where I live. When you come here, you should take the Amtrak to Union Station stop in Washington,DC.It is at what we call "The Mall".There are a lot of museum's there including several Smithsonian Institutes,The Air and Space Museum,The National Art Gallery. At the end of "The Mall" is the Washington Monument,as hids we called "The Pencil",ha ha!You can also take the bus or subway to other historic locations in that city and see The White House,The Capital Building,The Lincoln Memorial,The Botanical Gardens,The Washington Cathedral and The Washington Zoo,where we have my favorite animal, the giant panda. You should get a hotel here and stay for 4 or 5 days here.I have lived in this area almost all of my almost 47 years and I still have not seen it all.

Not too far from North Carolina, I would go to Tennessee to enjoy the nice cool Smoky Mountain park. That would be a nice place to get away from the summer heat !

I have been to many states in the US over the years, and due to my experiences there and in Canada ( my home) and Europe. I have pledged that I shall avoid going to the US at all costs. I will try not to even land there on a flight. I am sorry to say that the only way I would go there is if Hell froze over. I am sorry if this insults anyone but I just can not stand the attitudes there nor the vast inequalities that are so rampant there.

I'd like to travel to New York City, mainly so I could attend a taping of Conan O'Brien (before his show moves to L.A.), David Letterman or Saturday Night Live. When I was a kid, my family went to take the NBC tour in Burbank, but my brother and I were too young.
I've been to the L.A. area a number of times since then because many of my relatives live there. The last time I went in early-2001, I went to the newly-opened Disney's California Adventure park and took my very first roller coaster ride.
